Brief introduction to the Department of Anesthesia :-<\/h3>

The Department of Anesthesia Techniques was established at the College of Health and Medical Technologies - Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for women in the academic year 2018\/2019 according to the administrative order issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (21890) on (1\/12\/2018). It is one of the modern departments that aims to graduate specialized professionals to work in the field of anesthesia and intensive care techniques in operating rooms as well as in intensive care and recovery units, where the graduate is granted the title (medical technician \/ anesthesia specialist). The duration of study in this major is four academic years. The student completes the study of a total of one hundred and seventy-six study units (176 units), over a period of four full academic years.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Vision :- <\/h3>

Qualifying the graduate in anesthesia techniques and working in the operating theaters with high efficiency. And work on preparing scientifically qualified professionals to be distinguished members of the health care team in different hospitals. The department is also committed to graduating trained anesthesia technicians to assist anesthesiologists in providing high-quality and safe care for the surgical patient. As well as raising the quality level of teaching anesthesia techniques to develop skills among students and ensure access to knowledge by adopting and innovating the best methods and programs of study and teaching. Using the latest technology in training and practical application.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Objectives :- <\/h3>

1- It is one of the modern departments that aims to graduate specialized cadres to work in the field of anesthesia and intensive care techniques in operating theaters as well as in intensive care and recovery units, where the graduate is granted the title (medical technician \/ anesthesia specialization) and works in the field of participation in anesthesia, clinical monitoring. Operating devices and following up on patients in operating theaters, intensive care units, and recovery.<\/p>

2- Preparing specialized professionals capable of working in the fields of medical anesthesia techniques, which bear the responsibility of studying the country\u2019s need for development and progress and able to meet the needs of the labor market in the state\u2019s health institutions and industry sectors, and preparing an educated generation armed with science. It adopts a sound basis to bring about radical changes and puts scientific knowledge and the scientific method of thinking and analysis at the service of the country's goals, enabling it to pursue its higher studies and adapting to the development of medical technologies in order to keep pace with the expansion of human needs.<\/p>

3- It also aims to apply principles and methods for patient follow-up during and after surgical operations in the intensive care unit. The practice of modern medicine relies effectively on a significant number of techniques, tools and principles in anesthesiology. The urgent need for accuracy in diagnostic and treatment methods and improvement of their performance has led to the continuous development of the techniques and tools used in the field of upper anesthesia and adapting to the development of medical technologies in order to keep pace with the expansion of human needs.<\/p>

4- Preparing staff to supply the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to work in the areas of intensive care.<\/p>

5- Balance in focusing on the theoretical and practical principles of medical anesthesiology, and working to provide students with analytical, experimental, computing, mathematical and methodological tools and means to identify medical problems.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
