Word of the dean of the department

The Department of Anesthesia at Al-Zahraa University (peace be upon her) for women was established in 2019 and the duration of study in the department is four years according to the annual semester system. After graduation a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology / Anesthesia is granted.

The Department of Anesthesia is one of the important departments that aims to provide distinguished medical service to patients and use the latest treatment methods and medical devices. And it is considered one of the most important medical scientific departments due to its great role in preparing efficient employees with experience in supporting medical projects in Iraq. The unlimited support from the head of the university and the deanship enabled the department’s educational process to reach top performance. This was achieved first by attracting highly qualified teaching staff in various specialties whose responsibility is to promote and improve the health culture of students by making use of research and medical practices as guides during student education and conducting educational and awareness activities for them

Secondly, by providing foundational and specialized laboratories that contain equipment of solid international origins inside the university to train the students and to develop creative skills through a combination of theoretical and applied study.
